Telegram ads from ChatGPT and Claude: the MGRAM MCP server

October 24, 20268 min readMGRAM team

You send your assistant one message: «I have 500 ₽ — bring traffic to my Telegram channel». ChatGPT or Claude then checks your balance, prices every MGRAM service for that budget, proposes a split, writes the post and tracking links — and launches only after you say yes. Here is the scenario step by step, how to connect, and what the assistant is not allowed to do.

In short. MGRAM connects to ChatGPT and Claude as an MCP server at https://mcp.mgram.biz/mcp. Once connected, the assistant sees your MGRAM balance, orders, posts and stats and can launch ads inside Telegram bots: broadcasts, Reply Ads, channel subscribers and bot launches. Money is spent only after your explicit yes, and the assistant cannot withdraw funds.

What the MGRAM MCP server is

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside services: read data and take actions on the user's behalf. The MGRAM MCP server gives the assistant your MGRAM data and actions; the pricing, comparing and suggesting is the assistant's own work.

Once connected, the assistant can:

  • see your balance, orders, posts, bots and stats;
  • price broadcasts, Reply Ads, subscribers and bot launches for any budget — nothing is charged;
  • write posts that follow Telegram's rules and show a preview right in the chat;
  • create orders and top-up invoices — after you confirm;
  • create UTM links and show clicks and funnel steps for each of them.

The MGRAM panel, its sign-in page and the connector docs are in Russian for now; the assistant itself talks to you in your language. Prices on MGRAM are in Russian rubles (₽).

The 500 ₽ task: what you write

The idea is to give the AI a budget and a goal in plain words instead of setting up orders by hand:

«I have 500 ₽. Bring traffic to my channel @my_channel with it. Show me how you will split the budget first, and don't launch anything without me».

Below is what the assistant does next. The MGRAM tools it calls are in brackets — you can see their names in the chat while it works.

How the assistant does it, step by step

1. Checks the balance and the channel

The assistant looks at your balance and the connection's limits (get_account), finds the channel and checks that MGRAM can count subscriptions in it (check_channel). To order subscribers, @mgram_robot must be an admin of the channel with the right to invite users — you add it yourself in the channel settings. If the balance is below 500 ₽, the assistant creates an invoice and gives you a payment link (create_topup_invoice); you pay it yourself.

2. Writes the post

Broadcasts and Reply Ads need a post with a button that leads to the channel. The assistant writes it by Telegram's and MGRAM's rules: the benefit in the first line, short paragraphs, one or two buttons, no caps and no income promises (save_post). For Reply Ads it makes a separate short version of up to 160 characters. If you have run broadcasts before, it checks them (get_post_examples) to see which texts got more clicks. The preview appears right in the chat (get_post).

3. Prices each service

The assistant asks MGRAM for exact quotes for 500 ₽ (quote_subscribers, quote_mailing, quote_impressions) — a quote charges nothing. For reference, base prices without filters:

ServiceYou pay forReference
Channel subscribersA confirmed subscription, from 1.10 ₽100 subscribers — from 110 ₽
SMART broadcastA delivered message, 0.04 ₽500 ₽ — about 12,500 messages
Broadcast by topicsA delivered message, 0.03 ₽500 ₽ — about 16,667 messages
Reply Ads1,000 impressions, 120 ₽500 ₽ — about 4,167 impressions

The services give different results. Subscribers are paid only per confirmed subscription, and if a person leaves within 24 hours, the money comes back. Broadcasts and Reply Ads bring clicks, and how many of those people join depends on the post and the channel's topic.

4. Proposes a split and waits for your yes

The assistant builds the split itself from the quotes — for example, most of the budget on subscribers and the rest on a broadcast and Reply Ads to see which format brings cheaper clicks. It shows the total: how much will be charged and how many subscribers, messages and impressions you get. You agree, adjust («no Reply Ads», «all on subscribers») or decline. To see which topics and hours work for advertisers right now, it can check MGRAM trends (get_market_trends) — aggregated numbers only, without anyone else's orders or texts.

5. Creates tracking links

To compare the broadcast with Reply Ads, the assistant creates a UTM project pointing to the channel and a short utm.mgram.biz/… link for each service (create_utm_project, create_utm_link). Each service gets a copy of the post with its own link in the button (copy_post); the original stays untouched. The stats show how many clicks and unique visitors each service brought.

6. Launches after your yes

Orders are created only after you confirm the exact amount (create_subscribers, create_mailing, create_impressions). A new post and order go through review — up to 24 hours for a new post. After review the broadcast goes out at the chosen time by itself, while subscriber and Reply Ads orders wait to be started: tell the assistant «start them» and it switches them on (manage_order).

7. Reports results and suggests where to move money

The assistant does not watch your ads between conversations. When you come back to the chat, it tells you what changed: which orders passed review, started or finished (get_updates). Then it collects the numbers for every order — spent, subscribers, deliveries, impressions, clicks, CTR, cost per click and per subscriber, clicks on the UTM links (get_orders_performance, get_utm_stats) — and suggests where to put the rest: for example, pause Reply Ads or lower their limit and raise the subscribers' limit. Every money action again needs your yes.

How to connect MGRAM to ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced and turn on developer mode.
  2. Click Create: name — MGRAM, URL — https://mcp.mgram.biz/mcp, authentication — OAuth.
  3. Sign in to MGRAM, allow access and enable MGRAM in the chat's tools.

If you don't see these options, check your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings: custom connectors are not available everywhere.

How to connect MGRAM to Claude

  1. In Claude open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
  2. Name — MGRAM, URL — https://mcp.mgram.biz/mcp.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to MGRAM and allow access.

In Claude Code it is one command: claude mcp add --transport http mgram https://mcp.mgram.biz/mcp, then /mcp → mgram → Authenticate. For Cursor and other clients that can't sign in through MGRAM, create a personal key in the panel: «Настройки» → «ИИ-ассистенты» (Settings → AI assistants).

What you allow when connecting

The assistant opens an MGRAM page: you sign in with Telegram or E-mail and choose the permissions and a daily spending limit. If two-factor authentication is on, MGRAM asks for the code.

PermissionWhat it allows
View («Просмотр»)Balance, orders, posts, bots and stats
Orders and posts («Заказы и посты»)Create and change orders and posts — money is charged from the balance
Top-up («Пополнение»)Create top-up invoices — you pay them yourself
UTMCreate UTM projects and links and see their stats

In the panel app.mgram.biz («Настройки» → «ИИ-ассистенты» → «Лимиты») every connection has its own limits: spending per day and per order, the largest top-up invoice, allowed services, managing orders and posts. The «quotes only» mode («Только расчёты») lets the assistant price and compare but create nothing. The same page has the assistant's activity log and a Disconnect button.

If MGRAM doesn't know the app, only View is on by default — tick the other permissions yourself. Allow a connection only if you started it.

What the assistant cannot do

  • Withdraw money or change your password, two-factor authentication and other security settings.
  • Pay an invoice for you: CryptoBot, Laveshka and xRocket are paid inside Telegram, other methods by the invoice link.
  • Create an order or send a post for review without your yes.
  • Bypass the post review: betting, casino and 18+ are labelled by MGRAM's review, and such posts go only to bots that accept them.
  • See other advertisers' orders or texts: trends contain aggregated numbers by topic only.
  • Watch your ads while you are away from the chat.

More tasks to try

  • «Launch a broadcast, Reply Ads and launches of my bot @my_bot, 500 ₽ each — give every order its own UTM link so I can compare the funnels».
  • «The orders are finished — compare them: what did a click, a launch and a payment cost in each, and where does the funnel drop?»
  • «Here is a new post. Compare it with my past broadcasts and suggest two versions».
  • «How many people can I reach for 500 ₽: SMART or the Games and Finance topics, Russia only? Don't create anything».
  • «Build a UTM funnel for @my_bot: start → sign-up → payment, and give me a link for a broadcast». How these funnels work — in UTM tracking for a Telegram bot.

FAQ

Can I run Telegram ads from ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect MGRAM to ChatGPT as an MCP connector at https://mcp.mgram.biz/mcp. The assistant then prices, creates and reviews MGRAM orders — broadcasts, Reply Ads, channel subscribers and bot launches. Every order is created only after your yes.

What is the MGRAM MCP server?

It connects MGRAM to AI assistants over the open MCP protocol. The assistant gets your MGRAM data — balance, orders, posts, stats, UTM funnels — and actions on it within the permissions and limits you granted.

How much does connecting MGRAM to ChatGPT or Claude cost?

Connecting is free. You pay only for orders at regular MGRAM prices: a broadcast message from 0.03 ₽, a subscriber from 1.10 ₽.

Can the AI spend money without me?

No. The assistant shows a quote first, and an order is created only after you explicitly approve the exact amount. You can also set daily and per-order spending limits or switch the connection to quotes only.

Can the assistant withdraw money?

No. Withdrawals and security settings are not available over MCP. The assistant can only create a top-up invoice, which you pay yourself.

Will the assistant run my ads on its own?

Not between conversations. When you come back to the chat, it tells you what changed — which orders passed review, started or finished — shows the results and suggests the next step.
