Mandatory subscriptions in your bot

Mandatory subscription in a Telegram bot: how to turn it on and set it up, and what it pays — from 0.77 ₽ per subscription from the first user.

Mandatory subscriptions are another way to earn from your bot. Instead of the bot's reply, the user sees channels to join and bots to start. Once the tasks are done, the bot continues right away, and you get paid for each action.

How to turn them on

  1. Connect the bot with a token — mandatory subscriptions work from the first user.
  2. “My bots” → your bot → “Settings” → “Mandatory subscriptions settings”.
  3. Tap “Subscriptions” and turn them on.

Message design

In “Design” you can:

  • change the message text — up to 900 characters, formatting is kept;
  • add a photo or video;
  • check the “Preview” or “Reset design”.

You can use variables in the text:

  • {{name}} — the user's name;
  • {{username}} — their @username;
  • {{bot}} — your bot's @username.

How much it brings

  • For a confirmed channel subscription or chat join — 70% of the price, from 0.77 ₽.
  • For a bot launch — 70% of the price, from 0.70 ₽.
  • Advertisers can set a price above the base one — then your income from such a task is higher too.

When income is taken back

  • The user left the channel or chat within 24 hours — the income for that subscription is taken back.
  • Bot launches are never taken back.
  • No income is paid for subscriptions from farms and fake accounts.

If mass subscriptions from fake accounts are noticed in a bot, its mandatory subscriptions can be stopped pending review. Don't use bot farms — it leads to a block.

Tips

  • 3–5 tasks per message is a reasonable balance between income and user convenience.
  • Repeating too often annoys the audience. Start with “Every 24 hours”.
  • Explain in the text why users should subscribe and what they get next — this increases completion.
