Manual order moderation

How to approve or reject ads for your bot yourself.

Updated October 16, 20262 min read1 view

By default, ads are reviewed by MGRAM moderation, and approved orders go to your bot right away. If you want to decide which ads your audience sees, turn on manual moderation.

How to turn it on

  1. “My bots” → your bot → “Settings”.
  2. Open “Ad broadcast settings” or “Reply Ads settings”.
  3. Tap “Moderation” and turn on manual moderation.

Moderation is turned on separately for broadcasts and Reply Ads.

How it works

  1. When a new order for your bot appears, @mgram_robot sends a “New ad” message with the post and placement type.
  2. Tap “Approve” or “Reject”.
  3. You have 15 minutes to decide.

If you don't respond in time

  • Broadcasts: your bot is considered unavailable for this order. MGRAM tries to replace it with another bot.
  • Reply Ads: the action you chose in the “After timeout” setting applies — approve or reject.

If you reject an order

The order won't go to your bot, and the advertiser won't lose out: MGRAM picks other suitable bots instead, and the advertiser gets a refund for anything that couldn't be sent.

Blocking a specific post

If a post doesn't suit you, you can block it for good:

  1. Open “Manage all bot orders” and find the order with this post.
  2. Tap “Don't accept this post anymore”.

You can lift the block in the same place — “Accept this post again”.

When to turn it on

  • Your bot has a narrow or sensitive audience, and you want to see every ad.
  • You are testing monetization and want to see which ads come in.

Manual moderation slows down order launches and can reduce income: if you often don't respond, the bot gets ads less often. For a permanent topic block, “Restrictions” in settings is more convenient.
